Brown Butter M&M Valentine’s Day Cookies | The Milton Moms

Love is in the air! In the form of warm gooey cookies 🙂 I whipped these up the other night when I really should have been making a healthy dinner. Oh well.

ingredients

dry

2 1/4 cup of flour

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp sea salt

3/4 cup granulated sugar

3/4 cup brown sugar

1 cup of m&ms

1 cup of chocolate chips (I used guittard)

wet

2 sticks of butter

2 eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract

directions

add dry ingredients to a medium sized mixing bowl. mix together with a fork and set aside

melt butter in a sauce pan over medium-low heat. this will take a few minutes but pay attention- you want the butter to be perfectly brown and aromatic. you will know its done when the top is foamy, and the bottom is golden brown. it smells AMAZING. if the butter is black or the smell isn’t right, start over and try again! set aside to cool.

add both sugars to your mixer. add cooled butter and mix until well blended. add eggs one at a time, mixing in between. add vanilla and mix well. add dry ingredients a little bit at time, blending each time, until all of the ingredients are mixed together. use a spatula to scrape down the sides and make sure there is nothing sitting unmixed at the bottom of the bowl.

fold in chocolate chips, and m&ms- add more or less as you see fit! use a cookie scoop (or tablespoons!) to spread evenly on an uncreased cookie sheet. bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
