Easy Craft: Valentine’s Day Suncatchers! | The Milton Moms

Why are kids obsessed with glue sticks and scissors? Well this easy DIY sun catcher gives them a reason to use both! Let their hands get messy and create something beautiful!

You will need

colored tissue paper

mod podge

paint brush

glue stick

scissors

wax paper for the background (or white tissue paper works too)

Directions

Cut off a sheet of wax paper that is big enough for the size heart you want to create. This will be your heart background. We used about 12 x 12.

Have the kiddos help cut up all of the colored tissue paper into tiny little squares. Get ready for tissue paper confetti all over your floor!

Next, let them go nuts gluing them all over a piece of wax paper.

Once you have covered enough area of the paper with colored tissue paper, carefully paint the mod podge over the whole thing and let it sit for a couple of hours, preferably overnight.

Cut paper into heart shape and hang on a sunny window. You could also poke a hole in the top to hang.
