Meet Alli: Expert in Hollistic Health, Nutrition, Motherhood & Owner at R3Bilt Fitness! | The Milton Moms

Where are you from originally and how long have you lived in town?

I actually have always lived on the South Shore, minus traveling for higher education, but have just recently started looking for a home in Milton. We have really fallen in love with the town, and community since we started the build-out of my new business, R3Bilt Fitness in East Milton Square.

Child(ren) and Age(s)?

I have two amazing girls, Reese (10) and Layla (7), who you may have seen at any local Milton coffee shop or deli leaving R3Bilt Fitness business fliers on your table while we were also grabbing lunch lol, sorry!

One thing people would be surprised to know about you…

That personally I went through a really tough health scare with the birth of my first, and it changed the trajectory of my life from med-school bound to the polar opposite: getting a Masters & PhD in Alternative Medicine.

What is your favorite thing about living in the area?

My favorite thing about living in the area is the vast array of family friendly activities you can find any given day. A day at the beach, a picnic at the park, great restaurants, outdoor music, camps, crafts, skiing, museums, tennis, playgrounds, farmers markets, a really amazing gym 😉 or just enjoying our back yard, are just a few of the places you may find us on any given day.

What is your favorite thing to do with your kids?

Any of the above, but if I had to pick our favorites it would definitely be grabbing food from the fruit center and finding a new park for a picnic and exploring.

Favorite restaurant or spot for drinks?

We are still exploring it all but really love the outdoor space at Novara, the open play area at Bowery, and gluten-free menu for my daughter at Lower Mills Tavern!

What is your go to meal for your family?

There are so many, but as a nutritionist, and a family that is out to eat more than I’d like to admit, its usually a very healthy home-cooked meal. My version of healthy includes lots of veggies, clean protein, and a higher amount of healthy fats than most would think is necessary…plus it has to be quick since we are so busy between school, sports, my day-job, and opening the new gym! A great example is Taco Bowl Night. Organic, ground-turkey, with a whole bunch of healthy self- serve topping set up like an ice cream Sunday topping bar! In 20 minutes we have, ground turkey cooked in ghee, shredded cheese, full-fat organic sour cream, diced avocados, guacamole (yes I love avocados!) lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, cilantro, basil, and rice and beans.

Anyone special you would like to thank for helping you through this journey of parenthood?

Definitely my mother. As much as I think I was made to be a mom, I think I’m doing a pretty good job at it, and motherhood is by far my favorite phase of life that I have every been granted, I still don’t think I am anywhere as amazing as she is. She instilled love, confidence, fortitude, gratitude, and patience in me from an early age, and still does today.

Are you involved in a business venture, a local organization, a creative endeavor, or in the corporate world?

So of the many business ventures I am a part of (I work in the local hospitals for medical device, and I have an alternative medicine health practice, and Juice Bar, in Norwell) my newest and FAVORITE endeavor is the new anti-aging fitness club that I just opened in Milton, R3BILT! It is truly the culmination of all of my education, work, and life experiences, and the first of its kind in the fitness space. I was able to combine my traditional science/medicine education and experiences, with my alternative medicine education and experiences to develop a more effective way to workout, causing long-term health benefits both on a scientific and physiologic level. It is by far my best invention, after Reese and Layla :), and I am so grateful to see it already changing peoples lives for the better.

How has this community been instrumental in getting you to where you are now?

This community has been so supportive, and kind in welcoming us into the local area, not only for the business, but as a family as well. We have 3 local girls that we met and fell in love with as per-diem babysitters for the girls, we have received so many welcoming faces in other local business owners to help us get off the ground and for cross-promotion (including The Milton Moms network!), but mostly, I am completely floored and grateful for the local staff we have hired at the gym. We have over 15 employees, and one is kinder, more helpful, more admirable than the next. I could not be happier or more thankful for the relationships we have made since being in the Milton community.

What is the best piece of mom advice you ever received?

Just love them…and when it gets tough, because it will get tough at times, love them more.
