Meet Bree of the Little Big Spoon! | The Milton Moms
Where are you from originally and how long have you lived in town?

I am originally from Stoughton, MA and went to college in Boston. My husband and I moved from Charlestown and are now settled in Milton.

Child(ren) and Age(s)?

I have a son, Ryder (1.5 years old).

One thing people would be surprised to know about you…

I was on a reality tv show in Hawaii when I was 14. Haha.

What is your favorite thing about living in the area?

I love the proximity to everything: our families, the city, the beach, Blue Hills. It’s a pretty unique place to be.

What is your favorite thing to do with your kids?

Ryder is newly walking, so venturing anywhere on his own two feet is pretty exciting for him. We especially enjoy going down the road to the zoo or Trailside museum.

Anyone special you would like to thank for helping you through this journey of parenthood?

I feel so fortunate to be surrounded by family. Having their help and guidance has made a world of difference for us.

Are you involved in a business venture, a local organization, a creative endeavor, or in the corporate world?

Please share! I recently reignited my blog The Little Big Spoon. It is dedicated to yummy, healthy, and nutrient dense recipes your whole family will enjoy. Recipes are mostly all free of grains, gluten, lactose and refined sugars. If you follow any specific diet due to allergies or intolerances, or even if you have a picky eater and want to find unique and tasty ways to incorporate fruits and veggies, then this is a food blog you want to bookmark. You can follow along on my Instagram account by clicking here, too.

How has this community been instrumental in getting you to where you are now?

Through Milton Moms blog, I have been privy to events and playgroups around town. I have met simliar mommas to myself with babes around the same age as Ryder. This has made our new town feel even more like home!

What is your go to meal for your family?

Oh, this is a tough question. For breakfast, we love fresh peanut butter and banana smoothies (with chia, berries, local raw honey and spinach) or acai bowls topped with homemade granola. For dinner, pan seared salmon with a balsamic glaze and a side of savory oats and sauteed asparagus or spinach.

What is the best piece of mom advice you ever received?

In reference to the newborn phase, I was offered advice to “plan to do one thing a day.” Even small tasks feels like huge wins!
